Since I’ve had the Yiynova MSP19U I’ve been worried about the color display, as it was obviously running towards the cool side of the spectrum and I wasn’t quite able to adjust it to match my primary HP monitor, so the bias was quite considerable.
So I started looking up for color calibrators but the top models in the market were beyond my budget, so after doing some research I finally went for the X-Rite Colormunki Smile (which costs around $80 on Amazon). Obviously the price was a big issue in the decision process, but being able to calibrate multiple screens was a key fact too, as many calibrators out there only allow you to adjust one.
Couldn’t be more happy with the outcome, the software is intuitive and dead simple to use, you hang up the device on the screen and calibretes it on the fly. Although the results are not perfect, it surely does the job and the before/after is substantial. Definetely recommended.
